Affordable Makeup Haul - ShopHush.com ♥

Hello cuties! I have a really exciting post for you all, today! So, a while back I wrote a post on Where to Buy Affordable Vintage Reproduction and within that post I had a little vintage inspired makeup section that featured ShopHush.com I then received an e-mail from Shop Hush saying thank you for featuring them and they gave me a little store credit, as well! I wasn't expecting that at all, but I'm so happy that they were kind enough to send me a little credit. So, with that credit I bought a few things, all under $20 that I'm going to review for you all! ShopHush is not paying me to write this post, they didn't even ask me to write a review! This is for you, to help you find affordable options because let's be real, makeup can be pricey. As always, all opinions are my own. Now let's get into it!

Here's all of the items that I bought from ShopHush.com! Hush has free shipping orders over $25 so, that's how much I spent. I wanted to get the most for my money so, the fact that I was able to get all of these products for $25 is amazing!

The first item I decided to get was the Everyday Eyeshadow Collection by Milani Cosmetics! I did a lot of research beforehand and I was not disappointed whatsoever! These shades are so pigmented and amazing. You're all going to flip when you see these swatches!

These mini palettes are available in four different variations, I believe. The one that I picked was "Bare Necessities". I wanted a simple little palette to create smokey eyes and this palette definitely does what I need it to!

These shadows are rich and easy to blend! I'm still pretty new to makeup so, I really appreciate that. It comes with a dual ended applicator but, I decided to use a blending brush, instead. The brush it comes with isn't bad though, so if you don't have brushes it should work just fine! You can't see the shimmer shades too well because my camera settings are so overexposed but, I'll post closeups of my makeup!

Here's a close-up of my eye look! These shades are rich but soft at the same time which is what I love. You can definitely build up the shades for something more intense if you want to! I especially love the first shimmer shade which is what I used all over my lid. This palette is definitely worth $9! I'm so impressed!

Next, I really needed a new primer so I picked up the Illuminating Cream by City Color. This is a hydrating primer that brightens and softens your skin. It goes on as an illuminating bronze color but, once you put on your foundation and everything it blends in with your foundation to create a smooth radiant look. I'm honestly in LOVE! I have such dry skin and this really helps with that. It also keeps my foundation from cracking.

I also picked up the L.A. Girl Pro Concealer. This concealer is so affordable and it definitely conceals what I need it to. The shade range is pretty decent which is nice! I got the lightest shade "Porcelain"  which honestly I feel should be lighter. This concealer isn't much lighter than my foundation and for the lightest shade, I would expect it to be really light. The only downside is, I feel like this concealer settles into the lines on my face in the areas I apply it. It is a bit thicker so that could be why, or possibly my dry skin. But, other than that it's a pretty good concealer for $4.

I needed a new felt tip eyeliner pen so, I picked up the L.A. Girl Fineline LIquid Eyeliner Pen. It has a precise felt tip which I really like. It's decently pigmented and goes on smoothly. My main issue with this eyeliner is I can't erase my mistakes without it smudging. I make a lot of mistakes while applying makeup and I need to be able to fix them without the rest of my makeup getting messed up!

Here's swatches for the primer, concealer, eyeliner pen and next, the Madly Matte Liquid Lipgloss in
"True Love". I picked this up because I needed to spend $1 to get free shipping and this was only $1! The applicator is really nice, just your standard doefoot applicator which makes this very easy to apply. I didn't use a lip liner and it didn't fray or budge as I applied. I did need to add two coats but, the good thing is it doesn't crack when I apply a second coat! Unfortunately, this isn't a true matte liquid lip. It's partially matte but it's mostly a gloss. It's still pigmented, though! and for a $1 I can't complain too much, honestly.

Here's the finished look! The fact that most of the products on my face are affordable is stunning. My favorite items from the haul is definitely the Milani Eyeshadow Palette, and the Illuminating Primer. My least favorite item is definitely the eyeliner. I like that it's affordable but, I really need to be able to clean up my mistakes. I'm most surprised by the Lipgloss, honestly! It's not bad at all especially for a dollar.

Overall, I'm really pleased with my ShopHush.com experience. It was so nice of them to send a little credit my way so that I could try them out for myself! If you're on a budget, or even just starting out with makeup and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars, I really recommend that you check out ShopHush.com
